Shouldn't be the starter then, it's the only good thing from Powermaster (yup, tired of doing wiring diagnostics just to find out it's another bad Powermaster alternator or starter)
Those Denso style don't have as bad of a heat problem as the standard one's, I really doubt that's the problem but not going to rule it out entirely. I'd do a voltage drop test. Put one voltage test lead on the starter's power cable and the other lead on the positive post on the battery. Have someone crank it and see what the meter reads.
