Electric fan 06 GMC 2500HD 6.0

Truck has a clutch fan on it.. Dad's 05 1500 5.3 has a dual elec set up.. I know that thing is sucking some precious HP and its loud as a Jet ! Ive been putting some much need attn: on this truck and I think it's time to give the ol girl a little love. I see OEM sierra replacement fans on ebay any one know if they will set in place on the HD model ? is the trigger in the computer program ? Am I stuck starting from scratch with wiring or what ? any input would be appreciated.

I put an electric fan on my 'noma and used a temp probe and adjustable relay for it. Works like a charm. I'll try to dig a link up for ya.

I've done elec fans before just more concerned if the fan will slide in place of the shroud in there now.. and if the CPU will control it

Yes you can fit them. yes they can get controlled by the PCM but you will need someone to turn them on and set them to turn on when you want...I know its pretty stright forward on gas trucks but the diesel I am not 100%...but very confident.

hmmm good to know.. now i just gotta track down a junkyard thats worth a shit..
