Ebay Paypal Question

I've searched and I thought I remember seeing a thread about this but cant seem to find it so here it goes.

I bought a carburetor off of a guy on jan 2 delivery date was supposed to be between jan 6-9th I didn't receive it and on the 10th filed a claim on ebay saying I didn't receive the item. Ebay gives 2 options I selected I want the item so they give him 5 days resolve the issue that's tomorrow, I have not heard from the guy and I have decided I don't want it anymore and I am going to buy somewhere else so I want to pursue a refund. Over the last couple days he has received quite a bit of negative feedback for other items he apparently listed, sold and never sent, I paid with pay pal will I get my money back even if he doesn't have the money in his account or is this going to be a long drawn out process to get my money. All contact seized once he got payment.
 
debit card, but ive heard if you stop payment on a paypal transaction it can mess with any recourse you have like say it showed up tomorrow or some crap like that, so ill just wait it out for now I guess. I don't need the money right now its just more of a hassle.
 
Well debit cards have the same protection as any credit card. The problem is the money is yours not the Credit cards. If anything happens with ebay you can always goto your bank to back you up. Ebay will cover it though. Trust me they will get you your money!!
 
paypal will refund your cash, relax, tomorrow escalate the claim to them within 24 hours you will have cash back
 
just a FYI, if you file a Ebay or paypal claim then try to do a charge back also Ebay and paypal will ban you

I figured that, I was going to PM you before I made this thread cause ive notice you talk about ebay before and mentioned you sold a lot on there. What prevents dude from doing this again to someone else?. after I read through all his feedback a lot good a couple bad I noticed he has sold other expensive items then canceled them days or weeks later whats up with that I wonder?. after I get my money back ill leave a negative review.
