I need some bodywork done to my cobra this winter, so I stopped by autometric for a a quote. They seemed kinda high, and they are so used to only OEM stuff that I think I might be better going to a more specialized body shop.
They wanted $2200 for the following:
- New side skirts painted/installed, along with side exhaust adjusted ( can be doone by exhaust shop, but better if done by body shop).
- Surface rust under side skirts cleaned up/repaired
- Trunklid/spolier painted, and 2 small holes to fill where spoiler bolts were.
- Front bumper repainted, no damage just fading in a couple spots.
Does that amount of $$ seem reasonable? I was hoping to get it all done for under a grand, and if I didnt NEED to get the front bumper done get the side skirts/trunklid for close to $500.
Anyways any suggestions? I dont want a hackjob, but also dont want to break the bank either.
