Me/Rodrigues drove down to Indianapolis last night, and there was a pocket where it dropped from 38 to 32 and was sleeting, and then back up to 37 in about 3 miles... once we got to Jackson, it was like 45... but some snow...

I'm not sure, but that would be great if so. I can't think of any legitimate reason why we should be screwing around with the clocks twice a year. It's just a huge PIA for computer people (cron jobs running at a different time or not at all for example).

NTP is only part of the solution. Anytime time changes it poses potential problems wether for time based authentication tokens or missed cron activity.
