Ford
� Ford will update their MyFord Touch infotainment and control system by adding more traditional knobs and buttons
to the system. The F-Series pickups are the first to receive the new system and it will be implemented on future

engine in 95% of its North American lineup including the next generation Mustang due for 2015
� Daimler, Ford, and Nissan will develop a line of affordable fuel-cell cars that will start going on sale in 2017. Each
manufacturer will market their own branded vehicles and it will likely debut with front-wheel-drive models
� A 1-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine will be available in the Fiesta in late 2013 for the 2014 model year. Initially, it
will only be available with a manual transmission

This next generation Mustang will be styled using styling themes from the Evos concept shown at the 2011
Frankfurt auto show and will be sold globally. A 2.3-liter modified EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine from the Focus ST
with output of approximately 300 hp will be offered in Europe and possibly North America at a later date. North
America will still utilize the V6 for the foreseeable future and a new 2-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder. The new 6th
generation convertible will debut a few months after the coupe�s debut
� Taurus will be redesigned in the 1st half of 2015 for the 2016 model year
� The C-Max hybrid hatchback is due for a freshening in the 1st half of 2016
� The Escape will be freshened in the 1st half of 2016 when a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost will be offered
� Edge will be redesigned in fall 2014 for the 2015 model year when it will be slightly smaller as it moves to Ford�s
global mid-sized platform that underpins the new Fusion. The V6 may be dropped at that time as well

efficiency, plus active grille and wheel well shutters, along with a drop-down front air dam that lowers at highway
speeds to improve aerodynamics. Also shown on the Atlas concept were LED lights on the mirrors and in the cargo
bed, a new 360-degree point-of-view camera to assist in tight parking spots, and a new dual-purpose tailgate step
and cargo cradle that allows items to be secured to the cradle and extend to a space on the cab roof for long cargo
such as wood planks. Extended Cab versions will feature reverse-opening doors that will open nearly 180 degrees.
Engine choices will include a new naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, an EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6, a 5-liter Coyote V8,

� Lincoln will introduce new Black Label series trims where customers can choose from 3 interior color combinations
and exclusive paint colors. This option will first be offered on the MKZ by the end of 2014 and then be offered on

� In 2017, Lincoln will add new cars named the MKM and MKA and a new crossover bearing the Aviator name will
return. No further details are available at this time
� MKZ and MKZ Hybrid are due for a mid-cycle freshening in the 1st half of 2016

Chrysler
� Chrysler and Fiat will eventually merge and become one entity based in the United States. CEO Sergio Marchionne
has said that it will not likely happen before 2015. Fiat is currently in talks with a pool of banks including Bank of
America Corp., Deutsche Bank AG, Goldman Sachs Group and BNP Paribas SA to purchase the remaining portion
of Chrysler that is held by the UAW�s retiree health-care trust fund. Currently, Fiat now has a 58.5% stake in
Chrysler. Since Fiat failed to persuade a judge to set the value of the remaining VEBA shares in late July 2013, the
issue will now go to trial. September 2014 has been set as the trial date to discuss terms of a stock agreement
covering at least 54000 Chrysler VEBA shares, which will further delay the plan for the merger of Fiat and Chrysler.
Marchionne will try to sell the remaining VEBA shares through an initial public offering with the offering going
public sometime in the first quarter of 2014. However, Fiat is reconsidering the benefits and costs to further expand
its relationship with Chrysler due to the more than $5 billion US being demanded by the UAW for their remaining
VEBA shares
� By 2016, an 8-speed automatic will be available in all of Chrysler�s pickups and rear-wheel-drive vehicles and a 9-
speed automatic will be available in most of Chrysler�s front-wheel-drive cars and SUVs
� The 200 sedan will be redesigned in mid-2014 for the 2015 model year and it will be built on the same Fiat-derived
platform that underpins the Dart and Cherokee. Features will include a 9-speed automatic, active grille shutters, a

� The Dodge Journey will be replaced by a new front-wheel-drive Chrysler crossover that will be built on the Fiatderived
CUSW platform at the Sterling Heights plant in Michigan in 2015 for the 2016 model year
� Look for the Town and Country to be redesigned in 2015 for 2016 with a new look to improve aerodynamics and for
the vehicle to be lighter to improve fuel economy. A diesel version may be offered at a later date if other vehicles
that are offered with a diesel are successful.
Dodge�
Two high performance engines-a 6.2-liter V8 code-named Hellcat, and a reworked 2-liter turbocharged in-line 4-
cylinder code-named Hurricane- are under development for use in future models. Look for the 2-liter Hurricane
engine in 2016.
� Chrysler will extend production of the Avenger sedan as a fleet vehicle after the new Chrysler 200 debuts in January
2014
� The Avenger will be reborn in 2016 for the 2017 model year on a new rear-wheel-drive platform

platform will be sold in Europe and North America and is currently code-named B-SUV. Production has been
delayed from late 2013 to June 2014. The vehicle will be smaller than the Patriot and Compass and looks like a
small version of the Wrangler
� The Compass and Patriot will offer limited-run special edition versions until 2015 when Chrysler will decide on
which vehicle will be discontinued
� A new 4-door Wrangler Unlimited Dragon Edition will debut in late fall 2013 for the 2014 model year. The vehicle
is only available in black and features black and bronze accents throughout the exterior and interior. Other amenities
include 18� matte-black 5-spoke alloy wheels with bronze accents, a dark charcoal dragon decal that runs from the
hood and along the driver�s side, Napa leather seats with a dragon logo on the seatback and the dragon logo on the
