I have a 5 year old Beagle. I've never once had a problem with her and fleas, but recently every time I let her out to either play or use the restroom she comes back in the house with fleas on her. She's on the sentinel pills to stop the fleas. When we first found the fleas, we gave her a bath with shampoo recommended by her vet and the fleas went away... for a day. Next day she went outside and came right back in and had a couple on her again. I had my dad come by the next day and douse the backyard in pesticides, but that isn't working either. Couple things have changed in the area. We have a couple stray cats that are now wandering the area. We found a very very very young kitten under our shed, but gave it away right away. We also recently have had a couple MASSIVE raccoons around. These things easily weigh about 30 pounds. just HUGE. I can't let her out to play anymore because the fleas get on her, and letting her out to use the restroom is a monitored thing now. We take her out on a leash and only let her walk the bare minimum. We've done the drops on her neck to stop the fleas, the bath, the pills and they still keep coming. Anyone have any recommendations? Short of nuking the back yard.
