Your supposed to tip a mover:dontknow: Doesn't moving cost a shit load of money? Do people normally tip you? Do you normally break shit?

yes we usualy do get tiped.... not allways be we usualy do like 70% or so.. and nothing ever really "breaks" something might get a scratch or a rub... but it did cost alot of money but they asked for more people and an extra truck when it was not really needed...

they had nothing bad to say and they told us in 9 months when Hasik leaves (contract up) that they are going to use us to move more stuff...

i would have told hasek to make sure he has a good save % because i drafted him in fantasy hockey
did not see him.. he was not there yet.. but i do know where he lives and if im ever back in that area i will have to drive by slowly....

I had no idea you were supposed to tip movers. I have never used them, but if I did, I don't know if it would occur to me to tip them? Glad you told me lol.

I tipped our movers like 80 bucks - 4 guys though.... Not sure what the rate is...I just figured 20/guy and the was 4 years ago. I think it was 6 hours.

Rather than a tip your company should reward the workers that got a good review from the customer. My dads gf works for a moving company in sales and i know that they charge a shit load to move people. I wouldn't be tipping anyone at those prices, unless i felt that i was given a great deal and the workers went above and beyond.

What's a normal tip?

let me ask you this, considering what you make an hour, do you really need a tip, or do you just want a tip? you tip waiters because they make 2.65 an hour and they base the other 90% of their income off tips. if you make say (for example) 10.00 an hour i wouldnt think to tip you. GRANTED, i've never ever had money to have someone move me, but in my mind i'd never tip a mover if i'd already had a contract/bill with the moving company for x amount of dollars. i think maybe thats why you dont get tips so much. but its just my 2 cents.

My wife made a good point - Are you supposed to tip an Art Van(or anyother furniture place) for a delivery too?:dontknow:

hmmmm

If tipping is something that is expected shouldn't the company put a gratuity(sp)? into the price of the move and then hand out the tips. :dontknow: It wouldn't have even crossed my mind to tip since I would assume the company is paying you a decent wage to move me.
