Ok I am working on changing the intake manifold gaskets on my 1995 s10. I am working on a CPI v6. My question is, what is the trick to getting the distributor bolt out? I have trying ideas for the last hour. Thanks.

what are you having trouble with?

breaking it loose, or getting on it?

did you take the upper intake oiff already?

First, I already have the upper intake off. I took a 9/16 no name box end wrench and cut it down as an attempt to get it to fit. The problem here is that I do not have enough leverage to break the bolt loose. I have a one piece distributor wrench but it is too long so it hits the firewall/cowl. I just got back from a couple of parts stores in my area and none of the ones that where open and a different distributor wrench. Depending on how I am feeling tomorrow I might take a trip to Sears and see what I can find. Any other ideas?

IIRC, I use a swivel socket, an extension and a ratchet

they have those 2 piece dist. wrenches that you can put a ratchet on as well
