hi all. im hoping someone here can guide me or even help me with this. i have a 06 f250 turbo diesel and im looking to take it to the track for some races. now i have a banks tuner, cold air intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, a water/methanol injection system, arp head studs. i have a good amount done to the truck but i need the speed limiter removed off the truck. i have heard that you can turn over the key and that will do it but i really dont want to be worrying about anything else going down the track with a 10000 pound truck other then driving it. any help would be great.

thanks in advance

Theres no way you can do it unless you have an aftermarket tune on your truck. Sorry. Try looking at the settings on your Banks controller, maybe you might be able to do something through there, but I doubt it. I would try calling Livernois (Club Sponsor) and see if they might be able to help you out.

I would be damn certain that the driveshaft is up to the task to go beyond the speed limiter, otherwise bad things can happen. Just something to think about.

there will be two new drive shafts put in the truck next month that are ment for it. the banks tuner doesn't have anything in it to remove the limiter i have look. would you have the number for Livernois? and how exactly could they help? also is there anyone here that knows a ford guy that might be able to remove it off the computer??

get a better tuner. the banks tuner on a 6.0 is garbage, sell it and get an sct, it will remove your limiter as well.
