Dirt bike clutch

Well before I moved down here I had a 1997 rm125 traded to me by my buddy we had juat rebuilt it the spring before i got it and it runs great but the clutch is gone no matter the adjustment it wont engage enough to stop the bike from stalling in gear, I have never done a motorcycle clutch and was looking for some tips on how to go about it. Also what kind of clutch should I put in it some kits come with the frictions, plates and springs some come with only frictions. Any pointers would be appreciated.
 
go on youtube a look up how to install a clutch, my bet is you put in one of the clutch plates wrong so its not gonna work as it should if they are all in right adjust ur cables accordingly and then if still not working maybe the spring that goes on the shaft in the middle of the clutch plates is bad... but youtube is the best bet thats how i learned how to replace dirtbike and car clutches lol
 
if you didnt replace clutch when you rebuilt it chances are clutch is bad, get the kit that has everything in it, that way everything is new and wont have to tear into it for a while

yea the clutch worked fine before and it wasnt mine when we rebuilt it, but it worked fine after the rebuild i just think its worn out now, cool deal thanks guys
 
yeah clutches go bad expecially if previous owner wasnt that great of a rider lol yeah jus replace the clutch and all the lil hardware in it and youll be set for a while
