dining out experiences...or complaint?

Strange observation/experience I’ve had a few times recently.

Went to Taco Bell, my daughter wanted one of these frozen drinks they offer with her dinner.
They offer a small size and a larger size to go with what she ordered.
Me - Small is fine, thanks.
Worker – Oh, we outta smallz, we only got large cups left.
Me – Ok, put the amount of the small in the large cup then if that’s all you have.
Worker – Ok, Ima hafta charge ya for large tho.
Me – Why?
Worker – Cuz you got a large
Me – I ordered a small, put the small in the large cup.

Similar incident maybe one month later elsewhere.

What she ordered comes with milk or juice.
Me – Ok, she wants a juice.
Worker – We aint got no juice.
Me – Why did you offer juice if you don’t have it.
Worker – Cuz it comes with a juice or milk.
Me – You just told me you don’t have juice, so it can’t come with a juice like she requested.

I’m just being the typical pain in the ass, but I wonder why if you can’t give what you offer, why does the customer have to pay for something else. Charge based on what is stated, if you don’t have it, get it or charge the normal and let them take what they want.
What the fudge...???

You sound like a logical person to me. Businesses getting scandalous when it comes to those drinks. Places around me, drinks are almost as much as the food. $6.00 for a restaurant hamburger. $5.00 for a sweet tea. And those infinite refills are far and few between. You may get 2-3 fills for a full dinner.

I ordered a medium coffee at Dunkin on friday and when they gave it to me it was large. They said "We're out of medium cups, so we put it in a large."

No problem.

WTF kind of taco bell are u dealing with?

Taco Bell is truly hit or miss!

TB's bean burrito's range from $.99 to a $1.79.
To make matters worse, I never know how they
will make them (very thin or loaded).

So I never know to order 1, 2 or 3 - they vary so much!

Bottom line, should any of us really be eating at this place
anyway?

hand the cashier a 2.00 bill the line comes to a halt, because he/she doesnt have a 2.00 button and theres no slot in the drawer for it

Can't they just hit the $1 button twice and put it under the stack of $1 bills? Damn, that's why I make the big money

Took the wife to Terri's Terrace yesterday. Had to order 3 different beers before I got lucky and they had one. $8 for a small micro brewed beer. So we order dinner. Comes with soup or salad. Only one soup to pick. She comes back and said they're out of it. They have tomato basil. Ok, whatever. She brings out 2 cups of marinara spaghetti sauce. WTF!

RULE #1 when going dealing with the public, go in with the expectations that you are dealing with the dumbest people possible.

RULE #2 go in knowing they are going to fuck it up.

This way, you will never be let down.

RULE #3 avoid fast food all together....
