Did some work on the bike today

Well, finally got after it...

converted it from maroon metallic to semigloss black, rebuilt the carbs and gave it a tune-up, dropped a new battery and got it running after it sitting for the last year. whattya think?

oh, and whats the best way to get rid of the chrome? can it be sandblasted off? Im debating whether or not to black out the front fender

CB450? ......leave the fender IMO. Has a good contrast with the exhaust, shocks, bars, etc.

yup, 73. I took off the chrome supports off the front and back and it looks 10x better. it was looking like a cop motorcycle

Yeah, I noticed that. It does look a lot better :thumbsup: ....I think black wheels would look killer. But then again, everything I own has black wheels :lol:

i'de leave those pipes, the chrome looks nice on them and i'd loose the front end entirely, and cut down that mirror!

i would say if you sand it real well the paint will stick to it.
