Did Rodgers mark the ball

they made a big stink about that shit on his hand...but then he threw 7 more scoreless innings. So anyone still giving him shit about it can pretty much lick my sack.

At least Larussa had the respect to not make a big deal about it. The Yanks would have made a big stink about it.

after reading that...it would seem that writer is either a cardinals fan, or a douchebag.

...or worse...both.

I don't know that much about baseball, but isn't there alternatives to the pine tar that are clear? And if so, everybodys probably using it.

There was something on his hand for the 1st inning, they got a hit off of him.
He washed it then pitched 6 innings and they got no hits.

 Cards don't seem to be making a big deal out of it but the sports writers and fans are.

Nah, Wetzel isn't a Cards guy. He used to be on WXYT in the afternoons.

Just like racing or anything else, it is your job to cheat, the officials job to catch you.

Is he going to roll the ball off the palm of his hand as he releases the ball? NO...
I don't see how it effects the ball if it doens't come in contact with the ball.

looks like a bunch of resin from a jib.
hard to think someone just now noticed it.

yea, id say didnt effect his 8 innings very much.
oh well, if your not cheatin' your not trying to win hard enough.
if you get caught you look like a jackass tho.

its hard to really say what it was since it was washed off and nobody stopped the game to check.. all i know is if it was weaver has that stuff on his hand most of us tiger fans wouldnt be buying the "clump of dirt and resin" story

If it were the other way around and it was Weaver, the Cardinal fans would back the "clump of dirt and resin" story.

off topic,, do you plan on making the 28th rental? I think my trans issues are fixed now.

Nope. The car is done for the year. I've got too many things going on. I was suppose to be going to Vegas this weekend, but other things have come up. So that trip is FUCKED!!!!!!

BTW pitchers have used all types of different things to make the ball "move" around. Some put small pieces of sand paper in their glove to scuff the ball. I've heard of putting vasoline on the brim of their hats. Anything to give them an edge.
