did a motor swap(mustang302)need help

i took a motor out of a 89 that has trick flow heads,trick flow u/l intake,cam,24lb injectors,24 lb maf,tremic trans ect...and put everything in a 88 gt with ecu and harness.the other car had a high vol fuel pump and i think thats my problem,the car i put everything in has a stock fuel pump.what going on here is when the motor was in the other car it had a shit load of power and now its in this car with the same set up and it seems like theres not enough fuel and theres a good amount of power loss.should i put a high vol pump in it or should the stock pump be fine?

so u took the pcm, and engine harness from the 89 and put it in the 88 with everything else?

If so do you have a adjustble regulator? If you do; do you have a gauge on it to set the fp, if its not adjustable, what is the fp..

yes i took everything out of the 89 and put it in the 88.the only thing i didnt take out of the 89 is the pump.the 88 has a stock pump in it and i thought the stock pump would run it.havent checked the fuel presser but the stock motor ran fine..
 
yes the pump is a big deal. if the one is tired or restricted then the flow numbers will be low, I am surprized you are not running lean if it is not getting the GPH that the injectors need???
there was a guy on here selling some new intake mustang pumps for real cheap...
 
unless you put a guage on it to see wha tthe fuel pressure is your walking thru a land mine field in the dark..


put a gauge on it drive it around and see what its doing and go from there..

ill see where the fuel press is at tomarrow,im having problems with me car now:pissed:
