Diamond Fab Twin Turbo LS Fire Up

It's a junkyard $250 motor with a cam and heads cleaned up. We are using it as a mock up, and we are going to see how far we can push it.
 
4.8L is still more than a big buick v6. What's the max those go to like 4.5 L or so?

Hot rod magazine did a build on a 5.3 with a twin turbo setup made like 1200 hp when they took the heads off the found out it was a 4.8 they make sick power
 
I love the asmetrical design of the twins on the pass side...so cool to see different things! and I bet its going to fly, with boost displacement is not as important.
 
No, same story. Look at the dyno graphs.
Richard/westech weren't starting the pulls until around 5000. Someone else was running the dyno on the last pull and started at like 3000. They were also using a sldecent size cam to lower cylinder pressure down low

It's a 4.8 liter engine spooling up TWIN 76mm turbos! OF COURSE it doesn't start until 5k.

I strongly doubt it blew up as soon as they loaded it below 5k, because it would take that long to spool anyhow. Did you just make that up?
 
I read that is was some dyno jocking that was going on to get the numbers...goes to show
1. dynos dont win races
2. LS motors were made by god.
