Ive heard many good things about Devils Ridge. I highly suggest you shoot Sanctuary Lake on South Blvd/Dequindre in Troy. I enjoy the links style course they have and the fee's are pretty reasonable also. Hell, I'll golf just about anywhere as long as they have beer. :badass:

I've heard Devils Ridge is fairly difficult. With the layout of the course theres a lot of hazards but it also makes it very scenic. I've never golfed there but the guy who owns that also owns Black Heath in Rochester Hills which I've golfed at. It's not too bad. $30 for 18 and a cart and the course is pretty decent. I've heard Liberty in Clarkston is about the same price (tad cheaper) and a nice course also.

devils ridge is a very difficult course due to the layout of it. its built over a swamp with lots of water, and lots of elevation changes and dog legs. if you havent played here before its going to kick your ass. it ranks in the middle of nice courses i've played. liberty is no where near the caliber of devils ridge its like comparing it to a goat farm very flat. probably the nicest public course in the area is going to be shepards hollow.

I wasn't comapring Liberty to Devils Ridge. I was saying Liberty was cheap and I'd like to play there. Devils Ridge is almost double what Liberty is...for their own sake I hope it's what everyone says it is.
