DBK was in my inbox - Ford GT goes 267 MPH

Yeah I saw that was being passed around. I don't think that video was meant to a public deal so I hope my potty mouth doesn't offend people :lol:

It was SO brutally hot and humid that day. Pulled the car out of the trailer, immediately went 258.9 mph and knew that there was nothing even in the ballpark. The Texas Mile record for a car is 250.1 and that was done on a 75* day with a 25 mph tailwind. This was done on a day easily in the high 90's, air thick as cheese, with no tailwind.

I had the car at my house for the winter 2 years ago when it was making about 500 rwhp less. I drove it 50 miles from R.O to Dearborn and that was good enough. I was in Texas with Ray when he first got it back with the new Mehovitz combo, and after being a passenger in it on a service drive, I decided 1900 hp cars on hoosiers are definitely not for me...
 
Nothing like meeting your 1900hp Ford GT, Stacker Trailer, and Diesel Pusher motorhome after a flight on your fucking JET (at least thats the way it looks to me).

Totally badass. Some people get to have all the fun :)
 
That is awesome! And yeah, that dude has a lot of $$ tied up in all that. But to each his own. At least he is enjoying himself.
 
That car is bad ass. It rips through those wide ratio gears in a hurry, I'd love a chance behind the wheel in that thing.
 
wonder what it could do with more room since its not using its power until it gets traction. Crazy to think cars you could possibly drive on the street hit near 300mph
