Day care...

Anyone have any recommendations on Eastside? Wife works in Farmington hills and takes 696 every morning... I can shoot anywhere really... Just want a quality place...
 
Grosse Pointe schools runs a super nice one but it is also super hard to get in. I think it is called Barnes Childhood center. Have to be a resident too.

Best of luck, daycare is a bitch.

On one hand they are caring for your kids, which is the most important thing(s) in your life. On the other hand, you're paying for a Huracan you can't drive with 2 kids in full time. Ask me how I know. :)
 
Looking for an in-home or center type daycare? We send our kid to an in-home that we really like in Farmington Hills in between 12 & 13 mile and Farmington Rd and Orchard Lake.

Funny, we had a terrible experience with TLE. Pulled our daughter after the lady was caught (on camera) hitting one of my daughters classmates. I know they are franchised so not all run by the same person so results will vary with each location. We were at the one on Sashabaw in Clarkston.

in-home is fine with me... My main concern is I can't bring anyone to my house cause my two dogs and personal stuff... I have a hard time trusting...
 
Ours was 23 & Vandyke. But yeah I hear all sorts of horror stories about day cares- the wrong breast milk given to the wrong child- there is a web site you can go to I think its like Mich.gov, but don't quote me on that, That lists all the day cares with infractions.

When my kids were in daycare I looked for good places that were close to my work so that might reduce your search. The kids are going to get exposed to germs and be sick for the first for the six months anyways and there's nothing worse than having a call from the daycare for a sick kid and you can't get there in an hour. Also rushing out of work to pick up the kids to beat traffic is tough too, I would rather have them close and stop for ice cream on the way home. I used Tutor time if that matters.
 
We do near Farmington, around 9 mile/Haggerty/Meadowbrook. Very reasonable $$ compared to everyone else, at home daycare, licensed. If interested let me know I'll get you contact info. Usually a wait list to get in.

But you pay your kids now to NOT set the school on fire.....your opinion may be skewed..!!
 
Not another girl....... my son is surrounded by girls, which isn't bad when he's older, but his buddy is graduating this Spring and there's only a couple boys and a bunch of little girls:)

Thanks everyone for all suggestions... We are exploring everything right now... Wife suggested having someone come to the house but I'm sketchy about that. Family members were like oh yeah we can do it... Time comes to set something up and they are like... :later:
