So for those of you that know me, I drive a pos. So the other day I finally realize, hey it's time to start looking into getting a newer car. So I hop on craig's list and start browsing through ads seeing if there is anything local. I come across a 2001 Audi A4 for sale for $2,460 and the car looks nice and sounds great from the pictures. So I shoot the guy an e-mail because he doesn't have a phone number listed. Basically I state that I am interested in the vehicle, and that I want to know the mileage and if there is any repairs that the vehicle needs. This is the e-mail I get in return. Keep in mind that his post on craig's list was listed under the detroit-metro section in michigan.

If you are interested in my 2001 Audi A4, it is in perfect condition,
with no need for additional repairs, no scratches, dings, special marks
whatsoever. It has 58,430 miles and the VIN # is :WAUDC68D31A003471. It
has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name.

I have the pictures hosted on the net and you can see them at

The car is located in Holtsville, NY.

The price is $2,460 including shipping costs anywhere in the continental
US. There are no other costs regarding this transaction. I am selling
the car because I am in the army, and my unit will be deployed to
Afghanistan in September.

The transaction will be closed only through a 3rd party and this way we
will both be protected. My time is limited due to my job in the army so
I decided to use a service from ProPay. To begin the transaction I'll
need your full name and shipping address, I will forward the details of
our transaction to ProPay and then you will receive an invoice from
them. The car will be shipped insured to your location with DAS and you
will have 5 days for inspection.

So now Im pissed because I have a good feeling that this is probably some scam. So i sent an e-mail back saying that if he can drive the car here and the car is as he states, that I will pay extra for the delivery and help with the expense of getting home. I'm pretty sure I'll receive an e-mail saying that he is unable to. Oh well I guess the adventure to replace my pos will continue.

YOU CAN'T REPLACE THE LUMINA!!!!!

what about the 454 big block your were going to put in it? LOL!!!!:slomo:

Umm 2001 Audi A4 with 60k miles for $2500 thats a scam. Car is worth like 5-7k depending on condition and options. For sure a SCAM!!!

You should PM my bro Bubba and see if he has any cars for sale...he always has something decent down at the yard.
