Crossfitters

I'd heard the term "Crossfit" before but wasn't aware of what it was. I saw some of these gifs and vids that just made me laugh my ass off. Seriously, this looks extremely dangerous/amusing.

What are most of the plates? No way they are 45s unless there are 13 year old chicks that can do 225 lb military presses and shit.

some dumb ass people there.. most of them will have back injuries within 5 years. too many ppl with too much weight.

these are the people that ruin my time at the gym.. at least they are fun to watch lol

thats the biggest downfall of crossfit. people are pushing their max, and any time you max out on a lift you tend to break proper form, which leads to injuries...

what the f*&k?? lmao i <3 watching "crossfit" people work out at the gym.... bunch of posers.

Lol. Lot of you guys poke fun, but the serious crossfitters would fuck us other gym wussies up. Lol

yes and no. if you are talking about them outlifting (heavy) with proper form.. no. if you are talking about doing lighter weight a shit load of times at a super fast rate.. yes.

im in the Marine Corps we regularly do crossfit and i weight lift in my off time (normally before work) they are both good workouts, however, they are both two completely different things.

i see just as many people do shitty lifts from heavy weight and people doing goofy crossfit garbage. its just funnier to see someone to a butchered muscle-up or something like that, then see some scrawny dude try to curl a 50 lb dumbell lol

I have trained with some cross fitters......never once did they EVER out train me. plus they make TONS of excuses why they cant either lift as heavy and when we reduce the weight to proper form they die out with the reps. The whole crossfit crap TO me if a joke. They arent in shape and most have shitty form and bad joints and tendon injuries from the really bad form. Seen several injuries....ONLY one guy whom I have EVER trained with buried me with training. ONLY one. He was as strong as the start of a session as he was at the end with the most AMAZING form. never once got sloppy...He is a professional MMA fighter and we trained together for about 3 years. HE beat me up every session. ONE thing with him was NOT the super fast training but the methodical and controlled movements for reps. (20+)Lee Trombley...(you can see him on Youtube)
I have trained with professional powerlifters and some pro bodybuilders and not a single cross fit guy could hang with proper form and lifting HEAVY. I would love to see a crossfitter hit 405x20 ass to ground squats...never going to happen

Yeah, I blanket statement'ed myself. I meant as far as endurance/cardiovascular conditioning etc. I guess being more "athletic" in a way, if that makes sense. I certainly can't run around the block.

By serious crossfitters, I meant the ones that accel at what they do, which I agree there aren't many. I ran across a few at Crossfit Gihanna down in Ohio that were some bad mofo's. A couple of them were putting up some serious poundages (in my opinion) with great form. Especially for a few of them at their body weights. But I'd also be willing to bet they had extensive backgrounds in strength training, so I guess my own argument is a moot point. Haha!

I agree most of them have no idea what they're doing and are apt to hurt themselves. I think a lot of them do it just to say they "do crossfit."

Lol

wow-I wish some of those people a quick end...cause man are they in risk of injury. no spotting and some of the worst forum ever. The health craze is making people alot of money.
