I think this took alot of thought to build to say the least. Pretty neat. Although, I'd hate to have to pull a valve cover on that thing LOL!

Carb'd, turbo'd & supercharged. Wow. And holy gauges batman! No way you can watch all those.

IIRC, you can't pull the valve covers on a 5.4L DOHC in a mustang either without pulling the motor. I can think of a few other configurations as well.

Looks purty though.

honestly looks like you could actually pull the valve cover after just removing those two wormclamps on the pressure pipe and removing it...

Wonder if he even starts that car....

It ran, slowly, around the fair grounds. It was built right at the beginning of interest in the ProStreet movement(early 80's), when looks were more important than brute performance. It got a lot of magazine coverage and won the coveted Street Machine of the Year from CarCraft in 1981 or 82. Ive never seen any track coverage or numbers posted, and at the 82 Street Machine Nationals, the owner refused to run a certain black Mopar that is now owned by a member of this board. Id say it was probably a 13 sec(maybe hi 12's) ride.

Here's a pic of the other vehicle this guy(Rick Dobbertin) made. The J2000(1986) is even more over the top than the Nova, and the Milk Tank was made to circumnavigate the earth, but that never happened.

im suprised nobody commented on the sheer stupidity of that . it seems the the butterflys in the hat are now acting as a b.o.v for the turbos ... i roffled.

thats thinking that the turbos will be out driving the s/c and releasing the excess boost pressure and fuel ... unless they dont open at all .. then this post looks as ridiculous as his setup.

I had a model of that J2000. I think it was turbo also. These cars bring back alot of memories. As for the tank thing... no idea what that is.

The J2000 was another TwinTurbo with a supercharger.

He intended to drive/sail the tank thing around the world, it ended up not being sea worthy.
