Crash test - Old vs New

New cars are way safer...no surprise. I hafta believe one of the old Chryslers would not fold up like that chevy though.

That old Bel Air is very well known as probably having the weakest "A" Pillar, in modern history......The steel in it could be somewhat structurally compromised also... If you notice in the vid, upon impact the Rocker panel on the Bel Air was spewing a large amount of sand out an opening, possibly from sansblasting rust ??

The vid could be a bit decieving, but there is no doubt the new cars are much safer.

If they took 2 classics and ran them into each other, As in cars that woulda collided when they were out, they would have had different results. It would seam like the 2 old cars would gave into each other more, instead of hitting what looks like a brick wall...

It's pretty obvious to me why they chose this car.
