Coworker looking for reliable car under $3000

Is appearance important? I have a line on something that's might be an option towards the end of the week.
post up some things not considered if you know them.
 
I have a really clean 03 ranger edge I would let go for 3k. I just bought it and its not quite big enough for what I need it to do.

You post Wanted ad for Reliable car wanted for $3000 or less.

Not sure what I am missing other than the Ad for the G6 is off by $100, or maybe it is not reliable - LOL

Have an 04 Corolla that's in decent shape. It does have some rust in front of the rear wheels but other than that its pretty good. It's the wife's car and she is a smoker so has a couple of burns here and there.

New set of snow tires were put on it this past winter.

120,000 miles and would probably list it as fair condition. Think she wants 3250 but might be willing to move a bit.
 
Scion xb runs drives blows cold air conditioning.
Hit on driver side. Drivers front door glass missing. A lot of maintenance done just before being hit.
Doors open and shut.
