B Bluemule Club Member Jul 17, 2010 #1 1989 corsica 2.8v6, runs great but now when i start it the battery light comes on then when it idles down it goes off but when you drive it it comes back on at anything above 2000 rpm's. any suggestions? bad alternator maybe? thanks jim

S Sean Club Sponsor Jul 20, 2010 #4 Sounds like the brush in the alternator are worn. You could attempt to replace them yourself but it is usually cheaper to replace the alternator.
