Thats impressive! Isn't the world record 1/4 mile like a 7.66 on a radial?? They're close!!
Depends what you consider 'stock' suspension...the wolfe car has gone in the 40's I believe but it's a mustang with a torque arm suspension wtf is that? lol At least Tom's is pretty close to stock with the exception of the rear coil-overs (which are allowed in most stock-suspension classes anyways).

Found it:
Drag Radial Record
7.408 @ 197.62
on 325/50 MT Drag Radial @ 3295lbs
World Ford Challenge 9 @ St. Louis, MO 05/18-21/2006
Also ran 7.47, 7.48, 7.57, 7.58
60ft 1.30 -1.31 all weekend

It was for sure an awsome day and night!!!!!!!! raj has it right though... we'll try to get the video of the 8.16 pass sometime tomorrow, seeing that we just got home ;)

These drag radials are a lot of fun.... but a lot of work too... i don't think the starter guy was too happy with tom when he launched the car last pass and decided to stay in it for 400 feet ROASTING the tires... were talking.. couldn't even see the back of the car, that's how bad the smoke was.... Drag radials are a little touchy off the line.

Im off to bed... it's been a long day

oh yeah... were out of gear AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO LMAO!

Stenod

is this still with the 88/98 or is the 101 in place?

nicely done, i wish i could have seen it.

your right about the drag radials being fickle creatures joe. one pass you hook, then make a small adjustment and she's putting on the kenny bernstein smoke show.

That wolf car's suspension has what some call a "torque arm", but it's really a single ladder bar. Because of that, it's been deemed illegal in NMRA stock suspension classes. Wolf doesn't even claim that it's a torque arm.

The wolf car is insane though, those guys have it figured out bigtime. That car could go faster, but it's only certified to 7.50.

People buy wolfe's mail order parts and get their cars to hook and perform, I would imagine mr. wolfe has a few custom shop ideas for his own ride.;)
