Computer Repair Question – Tin….. Others???

We’re trying to replace the keyboard on my son’s laptop.
The keyboard was assembled with the “plastic weld system”.
You know, where they melt the head of a plastic stem to hold
something down / in place.

We were able to easily cut the plastic heads off with a razor blade,
The question is how do we refasten the new keyboard in?

Can I use a sensor safe silicone adhesive? Is there a better way
or material to use? I’m lost here, help!

I've always used a dot of gorilla glue and once it dried just a small piece of electrical tape over top of it. Just make sure the glue is 100% cured before putting the tape on it and closing the computer back up.

What kind of laptop is it? I dunno if I'd have clipped the studs holding in the keyboard just yet. If you can get me the model number I'll see if I can find a service manual that shows the correct procedure.

Son says...

"Its a fangbook 4 SX6-300 that was an MSI GE62 Apache Pro. They are the same laptop but with two names."

Thank you Sir!
