anyone running this cam in a 302? will i need to get a huge valve relief in the piston or will they work with regular flat top pistons, the motor has 351 heads if that makes any difference
 
I ran this one for a short bit but it was w/ a 2.02 head. I notched because of the bigger valve but I can't recall how much deeper I cut 'em. I did go a little deeper since I was already cutting but I don't think it needed much. It's worth claying up first to check. Stock pistons?

Big gears and intake? I remember wishing I had left the XE276H in and the Xcelerator intake. I ran 4.56s but was running a Vic Jr by time I had the big heads/cam in it.
 
Why take the chance? Clay it up and check it. I think CompCams website has a step-by-step. Make sure you check for radial clearance to the stock reliefs.

X2......i had friends with the same set up put cams in, one hit, another dident. you gotta clay it.
