is it pretty quiet?

Well, to be honest. Not really but not too bad. I have read that there are a few cheap ways to quiet it down. Being that it is a small 3.5hp B&S engine, people have installed 2 mufflers etc.....also parts are plentyfull.

FWIW - I bought that exact type generator brand new a few years back. It is a very good piece and I use it to run my sump pump, TV and refridgerator all at the same time when my power goes out. It is reliable and starts on the first pull every time.....

As far as being quiet...It isn't as quiet as a Honda, or the new generators that are out now, but it was one of the quieter ones when I bought it...

Just my .02....Gary
