Does anyone know of a reliable shop that cleans these? I know it's a pretty straight forward job but with a bad back, knee replacement and rotator cuff surgery it is not something I' m sure I can tackle anymore?

The 96 should have steel imrc, you can just remove the hard ware from them and weld up the holes between the runners.

How much does the delete affect low end torque loss?

I can't speak for actual dyno numbers, I noticed no difference on mine when they were deleted. If there is a loss its minimal.

The only reason I ask (no TQ numbers on hand at the moment) but the B-head (96-98) Cobras have better low end torque due to the IMRC but dont flow as good at higher RPMs as the C-head (99+) Cobras.
The plus side of that is the extra intake valve that opens/closes with engine rotation will now always get the full air/fuel mixture.
