I think it is just a rebadged holden/Pontiac G8. Bob Lutz said that they would save the G8 and rebadge it as a Caprice but as the General moved through bankruptcy the plan got whacked. Pretty cool cop car though.

it says its a rebadged holden caprice. why not use something like a malibu or impala?

That car is going to be built in the Hamtramack plant with the Volt and Cadillac's and the other vehicles built there, i think a buick and another chevy as well. I hope they wake up and release it for the public.
