I bought a project last year that I was told had a low mile Chevy 283 in it that has been sitting for a couple years. I got the truck home put some fresh fuel in it. The Motor fired right up and sounded good. No knocks or ticks. I only drove the Jeep down the street and back because it had bad brakes. It was leaking a little anti freeze from the water pump gasket. And it was leaking gas from the quadrajet carb. I ran the Numbers on the block they come back 1958-1962 Car/Truck 2 bolt main. I think I still have the alternator for it. No distributor or exhaust manifolds are included. I'm sorry but I know nothing else about the motor. I have no idea how many miles are on the Motor.
