so my aunt called up my dad and said i have a crate of old license plates in my garage you can have. so we went over there yesterday and there is about 200 plates all from 1968 and there all BRAND NEW never been on a car. 90% of them are still in the original paper!! we have commercial plates, boat plates, and temp plates! heres some pics. if anybody is interested we are gonna sell them for 20 each...

You should sell them in pairs. I have my car registered to 1970 plates and I had to have both. Back then they had fronts and rears. Today, the vintage plates aren't tracked through the S.O.S. They're tracked through the state. So if you go to the S.O.S. to register your car to a set of plates from that year, they need to see them both to make sure the other one isn't in use by someone else.

Can you still run those plates in Michigan? I know Ohio you can on the appropriate year car.


But I too would sell them as a set.
