DF - as with any event, passing depends on the sponsoring club. This particular video was just a practice session, the timed lapping was the next day (L98 had fast time of the day, BTW).

Some groups allow open passing for advanced drivers, some only allow passing on the straights.

And yes, Mosport is probably the fastest track in the Midwest. Road America is also FAF (fast as fuck), but it's a hike for us; about 9 hours.
