check engine light in the Hemi

on the 2005 Dodge 1500 Ram Hemi the code its throwing is evap low voltage and at low speeds it acts like its not getting fuel and the tank is full.

just today I was going to drive it out to the country and it actually died twice on me at 45 mph. I decided I should bring it back and park it until we figure this out.

I checked the chilton manual online and the evap system is so huge its like we have to take it to the dealer and pay half a million dollars to have it repaired.

anybody here have the same sort of issue with the Hemi and if so what was it?
thanks in advance!

oh also the check gages lights and dinger went off and I checked and the temp gage was maxed out! mind you I just left my house and drove maybe 5 minutes? wth??

Most common thing would be the. Evap purge solenoid while working at the dealer that was the most common thing we find being faulty on our systems, but the evap system is large seeing you may have a 34 gallon tank, but instead of us shot gunning parts does the chiltons online have a trouble tree to have you can follow? But it usally takes my hemi longer than that to get to operating temp, let alone get that hot that fast, and as much as I hate to say take it to the dealer pay for diag, at least to check it out, instead of paying for random parts

the 3 codes its throwing

P0404 exhaust gas control circulation
P0406 exhaust gas recirculation
P0116 Engine coolant temp sensor

Ok but no more evap codes?. 99.99% of the time the egr valve is faulty my dads hemi just needed one replaced, im lucky cause my hemi doesn't have one being a 03 and a 3/4 ton and the coolant temp sensor would explain your guage misreadings, the egr valve when you open the hood will be on your left on the front of the cylinder head, 2 10mm bolts hold it on and 2 8mm bolts hold the tube on that runs the gas back into the intake. If its stuck wide open it will cause it to run rough me and the other techs have had no success with trying to clean them usally because its a short in a wire on the inside of the valve itself, hope this helps alittle but also check the plug for corrision not very common but it could happen.

the initial code he did a couple weeks ago said evap low voltage. idk I wasnt there and he did it ok thanks ^^

yeah, likely the EGR for the rough running, and the coolant gauge going high was the coolant temp code, either the sensor or the connector

I bought $106. worth of parts Im pretty sure this will do the trick if not I'll be back lol
EGR valve and gasket, vapor canister, coolant temp sensor, new gas cap
