Charger Hellcat Burnout that doesn't stop

We all know how Hellcats can do burnouts, so I don't think this needs much explanation. :D

There's more coming with a few other Hellcats (some onboard) and Vipers.

Kinda "hemi power" but not really, more of a "name recognition branding power" or "plastic engine cover hemi power"

"Dodge power" for sure. Hemi....... Not really

I'm with you on the plastic engine covers, they look terribly cheap and there is no craftsmanship there.

Here is another short vid with a few of the cars drifting and burning some serious rubber. There will be another one from onboard one of the cars.

So your ripping on the plastic coil covers that hide the ugly wires etc like you would see on a gm??

I don't understand why the hellcat isn't hemi power?? Because it's a hemi with a blower? You can do all the same crap with a scat pack then.

What's not hemi enough about it for you? Similar combustion chamber, valvetrain layout, plug(s) location.

Nope. Close but no cigar.

I completely respect the power you guys (Sean) get outta these rides. But similar isnt.

"Hemi" and "semi hemi" are 2 different tings

Own what your doing. Don't rely on the past.

And yes. All the ford branding is annoying too.

They all ran out of ideas.

The GT hasn't stopped since 82 so it kinda gets a bypass, Z28 Been rolling for years, dodge disappeared for years. So I get they are trying and succeeding in the name recognition play.

Did I rip on anything? Nope.

Plastic covers are beyond lame. First thing I do is chuck them. Id rather see what's making the power.

Why hide it? Is it really that ugly? Engineers could not lay it out to be appealing to the eye with out $8 injection molded covers?

I've unfortunately had to spend a ton of time with the Gen 2 hemi drawings (the ones that roll out 40+ feet) and the it's clear they are brethren. There is no such thing as an ideal "hemispherical" combustion chamber so I don't understand that argument. I look to things that make the engine what it is like valvetrain layout, valve angles, piston design, etc as what makes something similar or dissimilar versus getting hung up on plastic doilies as the engineers call them (which is obviously not a term of endearment).

You need to stand up! Tell the powers that be

No more plastic covers!!!!

The fact we have to have a discussion about it being a hemi is reason enough to me that it's not. But I'm no one. I don't even own a dodge.

I don't think we'd be having the discussion if you hadn't said it's not really a hemi. I think everyone else including the engineer that works on them is convinced it is a hemi. With all due respect.
