I just got my New wheels from champion, very bad ass by the way, the speed series. I have a 94 mustang up front is stock brakes, not cobra, stock 94 brakes. I have the 3.5 with 1.75 back space.. I'm goin to describe this the best way I can. It looks to me I need a half inch spacer to clear the caliper maybe an eigth more. Now the questions, are my studs too short for a half inch spacer with a shanks style lug. Who knows what size shank I need and thread, washer, ect. Orrrr just get Strange brakes, because I might need them soon never had it to the track yet, would those clear with no dumb spacer? If someone who has had this problem could explain to me what to do or what you did, thanks!!

1/2 spacer could be ok with stock studs but I would measure the length of them before you get them. Take a lug nut off and take note of how many times you spin it. A typical stud thread will be something like 20 threads per inch. If you can turn the lug nuts 20 times before it bottoms out, then with a 1/2 inch spacer you will get 10 which is a half inch of thread engagement which should be fine. I would be worried about anything less and get longer studs. Look up your knurl diameter then go from there. I just got 3 inch wheel studs from summit. You can also just get some longer studs and drill out your hub slightly if necessary. The ones I got have a 0.615 so you can use a 39/64 drill bit to open the holes

i have champion wheels with wilwood street front brakes on a fox. they clear fine.
if your plan is to buy better brakes anyway...... whay mess around and waste time and money on the stock stuff?
