Carnage Pics... Let's see them...

Changed out the carb in May, did not notice a flange nut fell into the carb while it was off the car. Blipped the throttle to take it off choke and it got sucked into #2....

ouch man!

Yeah, I have an LS1 short block in the car, the head got 2 new valves and I smoothed out the nicks in the chamber. I took 180# out of the car between the Al block and front bumper delete, car is still 0.3-0.5s and 3-4mph slower. I want my 18CI back... looking for a little more cam to help me out.

That rod wanted OUT of there

Yeah... one wrist pin passed me on the track. Sadly, I was THAT guy that oiled down the track. Oil got on the front tires, so it made for a very cautious stop. I was at 330' or so, and got the car slowed and to the side of the track at the 1000' line I think. I walked the staging lanes and apologized profusely for the delay, and helped spread oildry until the car was on the rollback.

Lots of LS carnage. Trying to figure out the gouge on the oil pump/crank sprocket. Seized pump?

That's all from one engine, mine. I think the gouge on the oil pump/crank sprocket is from the crank moving around in the block. The rotating assembly was never balanced. Oh this engine never made any noise. The only thing that did make noise was that damned lifter, and it made noise from the first time I started the engine up.

Cylinder #2 in the old 4.0 from my Cherokee. Overheatted, but 2 gallons of stopleak does that... Then melted the piston ans broke the rings and drove them into the top of the piston. Amazing enough, the head was spotless.

This is how screwed up my flywheel was after I smoked my Spec 3 clutch. For 30k miles it handled 2nd gear burnouts no problem, but one time it didnt...
