carb rich problems....help

So my car runs real real rich, whats the rule of thumb to start jetting down....it a 950 race series quickfuel carb. it runs great besides the burn your eyes out rich smell. doesnt bog, doesnt studder, fires right up everytime less the a second after started engages. floats set correctly and idle mixture set close with me hand held vac gauge. if someone is real good at tuning carbs and wants to make some cash just come do it for me. thanks Paul

yea the idle is on a different circuit than the main jetting...i'm assuming thats the problem since you said you're burning out your eyes and main jets only come into play when you're driving.

you got a wb gauge? If you do take your idle mixture screws and adjust them until you get to ~13:1 afr. Now turn in one screw and count how many turns you get. If its between 1 and 2 you're in the ball park. If its over 2 turns your idle circuit is on the lean side, if its 1 turn or below your idle circuit is on the rich side. The two ways to adjust this is your idle feed restrictors or your idle air bleeds
