carb help

INJCTED

I changed some things on the comet. i went to a fully built C4 and a holley 750

It is a 347 eagle kit, ported victor jr's, Ford Z cam, victor jr intake, 3800 stall and reverse valve body.

Question is that its running really lean at idle i think the idle circuit is way to lean

Any tricks to fatten it up a bit.

open the idle mixture screws on the sides of the metering block. If you're over 2 turns out you're going to need to open up the idle feed restrictors on the metering block or the idle air bleeds

My 750DP was running super lean at idle. I changed over to the quick fuel metering blocks and it solved that problem right off the bat. The QF metering blocks have changeable idle feed restrictors.

you can take any metering block and mod them for idle feed restrictors. You tap them with a 6/32 tap and use a brass set screw with pin drill bits. You drill the set screws and those become your jets...i did it and its a pretty slick setup.

I did try to drill the restrictors but it did not help. Messed with that carb for years and the smartest thing I ever did was put QF parts on it.

Im gonna hook my innovative wideband to make sure i running lean or i might be running really rich at idle
