Todays Mash up is one that I have been toying with in my mind....I was going to try and use a foxbody for it but have changed my mind.........this is going to replace my daily commuter (1999 saturn sl1 with 210k miles) I want a 1964.5 to 1966 mustang coupe (the 6 cylinder cars weighed 2,488lbs and that was with a cast iron engine) I then plan to (over time add a full total control suspension with coil overs and some ringbros parts ) for power Im looking for a new 3.7L and 6 speed manual trans. The new v6 mustangs get 32 mpg. I fugure if I cut the weight even further on the coupe, (probably close to a one ton car ) I could eek out even more MPG..... so a 305 hp early stang that gets 35+ mpg and handles like its on rails.
PowdercoatBills dark grey Impala is a build I lust for, but I'd Turbo LS it with highway gears. My wheels on my Caprice were done with the same wrinkle coat as the trim on that car, always liked it.
I'll just wait til one of you guys builds one or your dream cars, then when you get tired of it I'll buy it for a small fraction of what you have into it
Today were going to go something more "traditional" I would like a Backdraft cobra kit (because the interiors are build for people over 6'ft tall... ) but this one would have a 427ci windsor with yates heads (I live in nascar world and the old parts are quite abundant..

04-09 Cadillac SRX-V but with the LIM/UIM and blower from an STS-V or XLR-V. It may take some trial and error since the 4.6l and the supercharged 4.4l probably use a different port design on the heads but with the 4.4l a tune, pulley, intake and exhuast puts them around 600-650hp at the crank, that should make for good fun with an AWD 7 passenger 5spd Automatic SUV. Not looking for scary fast, just something more fun. GM built 2 of them but I am guess Schram's crushed them.
Ignore this attachment below, it won't let me delete it. Mods a little help? Thanks!
Soon to be brother in law is about to do exactly this. He just did the body work and painted his a weird bluish grey color. Then he found himself a complete LS3 takeout with computer and all for under $1,000 with only like 400 miles on it. For that price he had to buy it. He is in the process of finding a good 6 speed and it will be done. Ill let you know a few weeks after he finishes it and decides to sell lol.
ok guys ...sorry I skipped a day (drove back to north Carolina) Back to my "less traditional" mashups....
Today let talk Studebaker.....specifically the trucks.. 30's and 40's are my favorites I would like one that looks BONE stock with the steelie rims and all. but I'd cross it with a vortec 4200........ BUT! it has to remain a manual trans....... I think some fake side draft carbs (actually fuel injection) would make it look killer
I'm already doing the ones I most want to do right now (Street GN, Race GN, and a 57 Ford cruiser).
The ones I would love to do in the future are:
1. Restomod 1969 Mustang Fastback (already have the shell)
2. Restomod 1969 Camaro
3. Street/Strip 1970 Cougar
4. Street/Strip 1965 Comet
5. Street/Strip 2005-2009 Mustang
6. Mid 40s to mid 60s pickup truck on a later model 1 ton Diesel frame. Low.
7. Mid 60s Plymouth, Street/Strip with new Hemi
8. Mid 60s Chevelle, Street/Strip with big EFI bbc.
Also would like to do some more trucks maybe some day.
