Car wont turn off

Ok so I moved my battery to the back of the car and put a 2 prong cut off switch in the back. When the car is running and i flip the switch it does not kill the car, but it kills the fuel pumps and all the accessories...Why would this not kill the ingnition box?? The car is carbureted..
Is there a way to run my msd were it will cut the power to it when the switch is turned off?

Yep....have to kill the field from the ALT to kill the car. Do you have a one wire ALT?

Also were you driving yesterday with the car. TUrning onto outerdrive from southfield road about 6?

Is this possible with the 2 wire switch or do i need to get a 4 prong switch????? It is a one 3g alternator 130 amp..I know you will need to kill the wire but from what i can see if i put the wire on the other side of the switch it will get power from the battery so wont that keep it energized??

No, 2 prong works. Just put alt wire on other side of the switch and it should work.

So do i need to take the power wire that feeds the msd and run it to the other side of the switch?or do I take the energizer wire and run that back to the switch?

The alt I have has 1 main feed that goes to the battery that one charges the battery, and there is a plug that has three wires one of those wires is the energizer wire and the other im not sure what they do

If the power from the alternator is going directly to the solinoid which basically distributes power to the car, then that cut off switch is only going to prevent you from starting the car after it is turned off.

The proper way to wire the switch in, is run the power wire back from to the (+) on the battery, then run the (+) on the battery to one pole on the switch and then the other pole goes back up to the solinoid where you power is distributed to the cars electronics.

If you cant figure it out you could always power your ignition from the side of the switch that is cutting off

here is how it is wired.. battery is in the back one side of the switch goes to the battery, the other side goes out from the switch to the front of the car were the starter solenoid is then the power goes out to the starter.. the alternator main 4 gauge wire coming off the alternator goes from the alternator to the starter solenoid

The wire from the alternator needs to feed the battery, not the solonoid
