Can anyone run a scan on a 2002 Jaguar X Type?

A co-worker's wife has a 2002 Jaguar X type is running rough and backfiring we're trying to find a shop that can run a scanner to read the codes but having trouble finding a shop that can handle a 2002 Jaguar X Type. is anyone local to the Novi Westland area that would be able and willing to run a quick scan to find the trouble codes?

I think Autozone runs a OBD scan, other stores may as well too.

He gave that a try first and also tried a scanner that my friend had at work. Both were unable to read codes. So we figured jaguar has some tipe lock out or special program?

Almost any scanner should be able to at least read Globabl OBD2 which is basically the government required codes, but if the car set Jaguar specific codes then you could be SOL without a higher end tool

Got a scan last night an found a misfire in cyl 5. Gonna swap coil with cyl 2 and see if misfire follows. Thanks moneypit and Dave for your response an willingness to help!
