Camaro Black Friday sale

Most of those cares have been on the lot for quite a while. I assume Ford (or anybody) would do something to try to move inventory at that point.

Edit: Out of curiosity I just checked some of the closer ones to the metro Detroit area. I found one that's been in inventory for 188 days, but most of the others are at or over 400 days.

Nobody wants a 70k Camaro they are slow from the factory for that price. does the car even break into the 11s? Dodge must be doing something right cause the hellcats/scat packs don't even make it to the lot and they are spoken for and people paying 15k over sticker for hellcats and I heard some dealers were selling scats over sticker to. Gm needs to do something to keep up with competition and it's not give 25k off a Camaro lol.

Z28 doesn't give a rats ass about 0-60 and could care less about breaking 11's. It was designed and built to be a turn key track car. The closest anyone has ever come to it is the GT350, and it took Ford three years to catch up. Even a viper would wilt if it tried to keep up with the Z28 after multiple laps around any real racetrack.

And as far as keeping up with the competition, the new Camaro blows the doors off anything comparable from Dodge. And nice job Dodge building a 700+ hp car that needs more tire to get traction right from the factory. The only "keeping up" I see in any of this is that Dodge needs to build a chassis to keep up with their powertrain. That is where the real engineering is. Dodge is building dyno queens, Chevy is building race cars.

Happy thanksgiving!

Lol...owned.

And no, they aren't paying over sticker for Scat's. Milosch has one sitting on his showroom.

Three years to catch up?

Redesigned the car. Then within the year had the gt-350.
New camaro in 2010, 2015 sees the z28.

Gm had plenty of time to come out WAY ON TOP. I mean they didn't even build the car for how many years again? In that time frame the z28 should have been released in 2010.

Hellcats sold before hitting the lot
Gt350 sold out
Z28's $25k off sticker if you will take one home...... Please! Zero percent for 5 years?

Badass car for sure. The problem is no one wants them. Well at least not enough people want them ;-)

Ridiculous. For that money I'd get a c7 coupe any day

Well do you own a scat? I do and did a lot of searching to find my car and milosh was the one dealer that said they had sold them over sticker and didn't give a ep discount just like the hellcats due to demand and availability. I said nope and walked out. Bought my car at golling on telegraph with none of that bs over sticker crap.

Sounds like GM really showed them! I mean look how many they are selling! LOL, not.

We all know the Z28 is an impressive track car, but sanctioned road racing is literally the LEAST common thing that an enthusiast is likely to do with their car. Drag racing, street racing, shows, collecting, etc, etc... all more popular in terms of participation than road racing. So, yeah, impressive road car or not, their understanding of the actual market for said car is dogshit.

And, as mentioned, that's why Hellcats in particular and the GT350R have waiting lists and are selling at or above sticker.

But, we all know you're not one to let silly things like facts and numbers get in the way of your stances

Check again, looks like $25.022

And for catching up, I thought the Z28 was built to beat the Boss then the GT350 to beat the Z28.

I guess I don't see your point (although I want to point out that the Z28 was debuted in 2013 along with the 2014 Camaro and Sold as a 2014 model). Z28 is a low seller because it is a purpose built race car, not because it sucks. I give Ford a ton of credit for the GT350, it is a great car, and they took the challenge the Z28 laid down and put out a worthy competitor. Hopefully some racers can even get one, although I think more of the Fords are destined to be garage queens than anything else.

I would personally take a ZL1 Camaro over any of the cars you mention. 580 hp blown LS with a huge aftermarket behind it, and Magnetic ride to handle the ring or any turn in times the Hellcat could only dream about. 700+ horsepower means nothing without the chassis to put it to the ground. That is where Camaro makes Dodge it's bitch.

I would love to see facts, but as usual, your post is nothing but a collection of random opinions. How about this for a fact - Camaro beats mustang and challenger in sales 2010-2014. They may not win 2015, but next year with the new Camaro soundly drubbing the Mustang in every magazine article written so far they should be back on top.

The facts are that Z28s are sitting on lots for over a year even when marked down $25000 under MSRP while Mustangs and Hellcats have a waiting list and are selling over MSRP. If you have a theory about how that's good for business, we'd love to hear it!

GM is sure getting a lot of press, that has to be good for business. Thank you for contributing! This thread is free advertising. So I guess I answered your question. And proved you wrong yet again.

Happy thanksgiving.

Damn not sure who's got a bigger hard on. Whitehawk for GM or DetroitStyle for Stafford. Your both so passionate about them. Lol.

Just think of all the free press they got when it was revealed they didn't mind killing a few people instead of fixing the ignition systems.
