Car is now pretty much tri-purpose (street, road course, strip) so I can't have the best of each.

232/240 cam, full XSPower exhaust, 305/35/18 MT's, McLeod twin disc, alum. flywheel (drag strip ouch), stock 3.42's (drag strip ouch), PFADT suspension.

Anyways, this was a new PB for me in this car. Would love an 11.999. I think the car has it with the right launch but the gears are definitely holding me back. I could hit 4th but would have to just shut down so i just rev the son of a bitch through the traps in 3rd :thumbup: Anyways, enjoy! Now a tire change, suspension adjustment, and off to Grattan next weekend!

Cool video. How much faster can you go before you have to shift out of 3rd?

I lost 2 MPH shifting from 3rd to 4th. Fortunately I added enough power to off-set the difference. ;)

Not much more at all, I am right at 7k (tach) at the traps in 3rd at 118 mph. I need a gear BAD so I can get into 4th and use it!

I am in love with C5's now, even more so than I was in the past. I was rocking a drop top 03 last night. I want one!
 
Very nice, work on your 60ft and your there. Love the sound of your car going thru the gears. Sweet Double Din setup.
 
nice car. you might wanna try using a 15 inch rim with a 26.5 high tire. might be shorter than your current rim tire combo. it might slighty lower your ratio and give you enough room to grab 4th gear.
 
Considering you need a hammer & a sawzall to get a 16 to fit I think you can skip the 15.

I'm running mid 10s @ 138 with a stock 3:42. I'd leave the gear alone & add more power. :)
 
wow, great video. I saw this car at P-Town cruise night......its done just right.....lowered, cam, exhaust.....nice car!
