C4 trans

Is there any other transmissions that can fit with a 289 besides a c4?
I need something so i am able to go on the highway.
Also thinking of changing my 4:11 gear to a 3:73. would that help much?
 
what chassis is it going in and do you want one that manual shifting or automatic shifting ? How much power ? Vehicle wieght ? anticipated power later ? Transbrake ?

It would be going into an 86' Ranger.
I would like for an automatic shifting but with a shift kit if you have it but its not important.
Its near stock right now.
It weighs like 2900lbs? not sure
Would like to shoot for 350hp.
It would be my daily-driver, im not sure of what a transbrake is.
 
Let me see if I cn locate a core unit to build. Your going to need some parts to get it all setup. Safe to assume later down the road your going to add more power ?

If you don't mind manual shifting its easier and cheaper to build a 4r70 for that application.no problem daily driving the manual shifting. Or you could use a buaminator shift controller with a 4r70. i will poke around and see what I have.
