C4 torque converter help

I recently bought a pan filled c4 to replace my aod. I am going to sound pretty stupid but it did not come with a converter. Which is fine but now I need some help to choose one. And also how do I know what size and spline I need? Thanks.

you need to have converter profiled to your engine and rear end combo. , i have a continental and works great
 
Well I have a fairly stock 302. It has been converted to a carb and Vic jr intake. I have heads and cam, lots of spray. The c4 is a pan filled 164tooth 26 spline that's driving a 4.56 rear end.
