MY new c4 starts to blow fluid out the front converter seal, might be the pump seal,cant tell, BUT why would it only do this after it gets hot @ running temp and @ about 2800 rpms?? WTF??

It's the same as oil. As soon as it heats up it get more thin. I had the same problem, changed the front pump seal ($2) and it stopped.

lol... I would obviously start by pulling the trans and having all the seals/gaskets replaced... If you do it yourself it should cost no more than $20 and a half day to put it back in. Or you can have someone do it and pay about $100.

And let me know when ya want to trade... Mine can be daily driven...lol
 
You should have the torqueconverter pressure tested also. A small crack in a weld will give the same condition as you describe. You should remove the pump, replace the pump gasket, press in a new pump bushing and front seal. Make sure the converter hub is in good condition (no wear or groves) and make sure both your block alignment pins are in. Check the flywheel for cracks.
 
I got the trans out today. The spring on the tq converter seal was gone,not a trace, wtf? could they have just not noticed when they pit it in? or is it in little bits in my trans pan??
