C-4 trans brake/reverse problem

The trans was just gone thru, new PA servo put in. Got it in the car last night and the thing is acting weird. When I put it in reverse and hit the trans break button, it does not click into gear like it used to. If I rev the engine alil it will go in and back up but as some as I get off the gas it pops back out till I rev it up again. The car is hard to push in neutral but forward gear seem to be there. It has a turbo action shifter and the cable is adjusted properly. Any ideas guys?? I was trying to go to Milan this weekend with it.
 
ive only been inside a c4 trans a handful of times so take what my guesses are with a grain of salt........but possibly line pressure from the pump isent high enough. that would explane why when you rev it the pump spins faster..... again this is just a guess....
 
dident really think about this one till just now, but its possible the bands are out of adjustment too. id try to adjust them as its not to hard to do and can be done with the trans in the car.
 
Ya I bet they have the bands tight for the break in period. The trans break & reverse sounds like the solenoid is bad or not engaging all the way. Maybe try an old trans break solenoid.

Im having a somewhat similar issue. When I get below about 1200 RPM's in first gear it feels like my brakes are applied and it is in neutral. When I rev it up just a little bit you can feel it engage back into first gear. Trans was just gone through as well with new clutches and a PA valve body. When the trans is COLD, it slips.
 
I'm at work right now but my trans guy is looking at the car now. Band adjustment should be ok. 10ft/lbs then turned back 1.5 turns. Hopfully he sees something cuz it went back together no problems. I really want to go racing this weekend . Cars been down all year with the exception of a 2 week period before it broke again.

i feel your pain, i been busting ass to get to this race.....cars almost done but small complications are stopen me from maken it.
 
Yup, its all back together and had it on they dyno lastnite. We are ready to go. The reverse clutch pack was stuck together so we replaced it with one out of our other trans.
