Business networking groups.

Does anyone belong to one ? Any insight on how to join one ? I recently talked to another Plumber that belongs to one and he said he is nearly full time working from a small group of 40 companies. He said most are by invite only, we are doing research on local groups but not coming up with much. Any ideas or leads would certainly be appreciated. :dollar::dollar::dollar:

I used to be a member of a small local one. BNI and other groups tend to be fairly demanding from what I've heard, the one I was a member of was pretty reasonable though. Even still, I had to leave because it was just for a part-time side-business of mine and just out of circumstance I couldn't bring in the amount of referrals they desired.

That said, if you're good and have a universally needed business like a Plumber, I can definitely see it being worth it if you have the time to devote to it. I definitely got a fair amount of business from it as a computer technician.
